Facebook completetly revamped it's site and also introduced Dark Mode with several new Features.
Facebook just rolled out its biggest visual change to its website in years! They gave the site a pretty Dramatic Overhaul and now the site is globally accessible, the company announced on Friday. Before its global release, the newer version was only available in some markets and you would only see it if you already opt-in in March.
To turn on the new design and enable dark mode immediately, follow these steps :
Facebook says the new site will “now be the web experience for Facebook globally,” adding that “it’s faster, easier to use and gives your eyes a break with dark mode. Here are three main improvements: Dark Mode, finding things faster and easier management of pages, groups and events. Additionally there is the ability to create new pages and groups, faster than before! The new version also offers previews, so you know what you're doing before hitting Publish. The home page and page transitions load faster. All this leads to an even Faster Experience and The Minimalistic Look makes it align with Mobile App too.
Dark Mode is easier on the eyes and generally makes for a better video viewing experience. The aim of Facebook is to minimize screen glare when using the site in low light. It also saves battery life of your smartphone or laptop and even better if it has an Amoled display. Moreover, it makes the experience more immerrsive and less distracting.
Dark Mode maybe the best feature but theres more than that. The home interface includes a new skinnier News Feed, ample open room on the left and right bars, as well as bigger icons and a menu bar that lets you quickly switch to various sections of the site. The newer site now offers a lot more. Most find apps like Instagram and TikTok better than Facebook but now facebook focuses on showing more videos in the news feed and providing more interesting and engaging posts to the consumer.
The change might need getting some used to it but once you figure it out, you'll love the new changes. But still if for some reason you aren't satisfied you can give your feedback in the settings, as they are actively seeking user feedback. Remember its not the end Facebook will continue to tweak the interface to please most if not everyone on the internet.
